For sale 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7 GT. This is an all original S code car, meaning that it came with the 390 big block that is in it now. It has the original C6 select shift transmission and original 9 Ford rear end. The car has very low miles, in the mid forties at the moment; it is still being driven on occasion. The car has minor rust at the dog legs on both sides, very minor. The floors have no rust and neither does the trunk. The wheels have been upgraded to 15 and have very strong tires. The original wheels are available. The car also has factory disc brakes on the front and power steering. All the gauges operate as they should. The hide away headlights work as they should with no leaks. The sequential directionals work well also. This was a father and sons project car. The photos really do the car justice but it needs to be seen. Most folks think that it shows very well, it really needs a quality paint job and the rust bubbles fixed that are around the dog legs. The trunk was done as it should be to show the twin boys the way the entire car could look. Unfortunately, the boys have discovered motorcycles and the car now just sits. It really is a very rare and very nice XR7 GT S code car! 1967 was the first year for the Cougars, and the last year for no front and rear quarter maker lights- I think they just look better. Try and find one- and then when you do, find one that isn't rusty or that hasn't been drag raced! It deserves to be restored properly. I have thousands of dollars of spare parts that are available outside this transaction. I will not sell them on their own unless the car sells first and are not wanted.
